Coronavirus: Kolster continues to provide services normally

Dear Customer, 

Coronavirus causes global worry. Kolster follows actively official information provided by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, and acts based on their advice. Our Business Continuity Plan ensures that we’re capable of being fully operative and providing our clients with professional services as usually. However, welfare of both our employees and customers is ensured by taking precautionary actions. 

These actions include:  

  • Our services aren’t dependent on our office spaces. Therefore, Kolster works completely electronically. Our employees access our systems remotely.  
  • Meetings with clients are held online.  
  • Kolster’s team of professionals is vast. Therefore, possible individual sick leaves won’t affect our operations. 
  • We’ll organize our client events and seminars online for the time being. We’ll arrange regular webinars on current topics for our clients. We'll send invitations for webinars separately. 
  • We’ve cancelled business trips abroad and encourage our employees to avoid traveling within the country as well.  
  • Our employees returning from abroad will automatically spend 14 days working from home.  
  • We instruct our employees of plans of action when suspecting or having gotten exposed to the virus.  

We take great care of not spreading the virus and continuing our operation normally despite these difficult times.

EUIPO and EPO have announced that in response to disruption caused by Coronavirus all deadlines are extended:

  • The EPO has extended all time limits expiring on or after 15 March 2020 until 17 April 2020. The deadline could be extended further if the dislocation extends beyond April 17th. Read EPO's Coronavirus (COVID-19) - continually updated information here.
