The largest internationally recognized Russian certification and expert organization “Russian Register” and Kolster, one of the most established IP law firms in Europe, have signed a partnership agreement to promote and facilitate companies to enter new markets especially in Europe and Asia. The agreement was signed on September 24, 2019, at the Trade Representation of Russia in Finland.
The purpose of the partnership agreement is to integrate certification, patent, trademark and legal services, and provide innovative companies with the core services they will need when establishing business outside national borders on a one-stop basis. The services will be available at all offices of the Russian Register network, i.e. in 30 offices in Russia and 16 offices abroad, and at the Kolster offices in Finland, Germany and China. In addition, the companies will be supported by Kolster’s international IP partner network throughout the globe.
“The goal of this joint project is to provide our clients with an easy access to certification services complemented with a wide range of legal and IP services to protect, commercialise and defend the companies’ intellectual property. We cooperate with innovative export companies, business support infrastructure organisations such as the Russian export centers, technology parks and industrial parks”, says Arkady Vladimirtsev, Director General of the Russian Register Certification Association.
The importance of international cooperation between Finland and Russia was emphasized by Sergey Sinelnikov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Finland:
“Cooperation between Russian and Finnish companies is very important for the development of Russia's export strategy. We always aim at meeting the needs of enterprises from different countries and try to provide them with new business opportunities through good partnerships.”
Timo Helosuo, CEO of Kolster, sees the partnership as a value-adding new opportunity and a new innovative form of international business cooperation:
